FreeSport 2012

FreeSport, part of the Mayor's Sports Legacy Programme, is a small grants programme enabling sports clubs, organisations, youth groups and community groups to apply for grants of up to £1,500 to run free sporting activities between 27 July and 31 October 2012.

It is one of the many GLA schemes that has fallen under the 'Mayor of London presents' umbrella this year as part of the 'Summer Like No Other' Olympic campaign.

FreeSport provides free sporting opportunities to Londoners, of all ages and abilities, to encourage greater participation in sport and physical activity in the build up to the 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games and beyond. The programme helps organisations deliver a grass-roots sporting legacy across London.

FreeSport surgeries are available to attend for help and guidence on filling in your application. In 2011, 40% of applications were successful. This success rate increased to 54% for those who attended a surgery. For more information click here.
